With each passing day, a child can draw
like swift running water
one rivery line suggests the next
movement between image and insight
between the hand that holds the crayon and
the mind that moves the muscles.
All of this flows, capturing pebbles,
uprooting trees, dislodging small
bones and relics
on the way to forming a world out there.
All of this.
